Preferred in-Room Amenities for the Perfect Hotel Stay

Travelers’ preferences for holiday destinations extend beyond the location itself; often, the choice of accommodation is equally important. According to a study by Booking.com, air conditioning and power outlets near the bed rank among the most desired in-room features. These amenities significantly influence travelers' decisions to return to the same accommodation. Meeting guests’ preferences can foster repeat business, although expectations differ across various markets.

Examining travelers' unique preferences reveals some intriguing trends. Spanish holidaymakers, for instance, prioritize air conditioning, bedside power outlets, and shampoo/conditioner in the bathrooms. A nice view and room service are also among the top five amenities.

German travelers share the same top four preferences, but they value power outlets and a nice view more highly than air conditioning. TV/streaming services are also in their top five.

For French travelers, a nice view is the highest priority, surpassing power outlets and bathroom toiletries. Similar to US travelers, they also appreciate coffee machines among their top five amenities.

British travelers, known for their love of tea, prioritize having a tea kettle in the room. It ranks as the third most important amenity, ahead of a nice view and provided shampoo.
