Shein in Rank 3 of Biggest U.S. Online Fashion Retailers

Amazon and Walmart are the biggest online fashion retailers in the United States, according to website ECDB. Both retailers sell all sorts of goods online and in brick-and-mortar stores and according to the data, $12.3 billion and $8.9 billion worth of apparel online net sales were among those in 2023. After these two established U.S. brands, there is a relative newcomer in rank 3 of the biggest online fashion retailers in the country: Chinese-founded company Shein. Pedelling often-criticized fast fashion at rock-bottom prices, the store specialized in trendy fashion products and offers new items almost continuously. Shein moved its headquarters to Singapore in 2022.

With this popular strategy, Shein, which only launched in the U.S. around 2017, has pulled past U.S. legacy retailer Macy's as well as Nike, which came in rank 4 and 5. The companies had 2023 fashion online net sales of $6.4 billion and $4.5 billion, respectively.
