Top investments and tools used by UK hoteliers to attract guests

When looking to maximize occupancy, over half of UK accommodation providers (54%) stated that offering targeted discounts was the most reliable method, according to the Autumn 2023 UK Accommodation Barometer. This was followed by investments in style/aesthetics (44%). When compared with the average result from respondents across Europe, the status quo nominated listing on digital platforms (51%) as the most effective method, followed by targeted discounts (49%). In the UK, listing the property on digital platforms was the third most effective tool (42%).

The Autumn 2023 UK Accommodation Barometer is the second study of hoteliers conducted by Statista in collaboration with Booking.com, surveying 200 accommodation executives and managers from across the UK. Follow the link to download a copy.
