Online travel platforms generate more employment than meets the eye

This infographic shows just how impactful online travel platforms really are. In the EU alone, online travel platforms contribute directly to the creation of 300,000 jobs in the travel and hospitality industry. This number more than doubles when indirect employment is taken into consideration. Furthermore, in 2019, online travel accommodations directly and indirectly contributed 35 billion euros to the gross domestic product in the EU.
