Video games are getting expensive to produce...very expensive. Grand Theft Auto V became the most expensive video game in history when it came out last year, though it more than compensated for those high producton costs in terms of financial success. This year, Destiny has roared to the top of the pile, costing a whopping £310 million to produce, according to Statista's latest feature in the Independent. How will it fare in terms of sales? So far, things are looking very good indeed - It has already become the biggest franchise video game launch in history.
