It's Coming Home

England football fans aren't exactly known for staying grounded after a decent tournament run starts to take shape, but after the Three Lions' 2:0 knockout victory over Germany, even the most cynical fan would have been hard pushed to avoid using the immortal phrase 'it's coming home' without the usual tinge of irony.

As Google Trend data shows, the hype after England progressed to the quarter finals somewhat exploded, after relatively small peaks on the days of the team's previous Euro 2020 games. England believes, but after '55 years of hurt' that niggling feeling the boys will somehow find a way to let it slip away again never fully goes away.
