South Americans Are Most Likely to Have Plastic Surgery

According to an ISAPS survey, plastic surgery procedures are most popular in South America. Eight out of every 1,000 Venezuelans had experienced some form of plastic surgey operation by 2013, propelling them to the top of the plastic surgery popularity league. Fellow South American nations Brazil and Colombia came second and third with 7.4 and 6 procedures per 1,000 people respectively. While Venezuela is the plastic surgery leader on a per capita basis, it isn't the leader when it comes to operations. Taking overall operations into account, Brazil comes first with nearly 1.5 million, quite a distance ahead of Venezuela's 231,000.
