How Effective Are Covid Vaccines At Preventing Infection?

New analysis from the UK's Office for National Statistics shows the share of people in the country that have been vaccinated against Covid-19 and were since infected with the virus. As our infographic shows, the BioNTech and AstraZeneca vaccines have so far proved very effective. In total, 0.5 percent of the vaccinated adults included in the analysis had caught the disease after one dose, with this falling to just 0.1 percent after a second dose. There wasn't much between the two vaccines analysed, though the AstraZeneca jab appeared to be slightly more effective with just one dose.
