Online Advertising Frustrations
iOS 14.5 allows users to block access to their iPhone's advertising ID. For companies like Google and Facebook, this is a real threat. According to the Statista Global Consumer Survey, the situation is different on the consumer side, however. In all the countries shown on this world map, a significant proportion of the population is often annoyed by online advertising. In the United States, for example, 42 percent of survey participants say this. Austrians (59 percent) are particularly unhappy about online advertising. By contrast, the Chinese and Brazilians (31 percent each) do not let digital ads spoil their moods.
