Smartphone as Personal Trainer

The Statista Digital Market Outlook forecasts the global revenue from fitness apps in 2021 to be $4,025 million - rising to $5,274 million by 2024. According to the Statista Global Consumer Survey, the proportion of 18-64 year-olds in the United States who regularly use these apps on their smartphones is 24 percent. That's more than in Germany and China, but less than in the UK and India. Such apps - which track and analyze fitness levels, for example - are seemingly particularly popular among the Indian respondents to the study. In France, on the other hand, the proportion of users is comparatively low.
