Where AI Is Making Strides In The EU
Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly important driver of economic intelligence, making key inroads in areas such as cybersecurity, human resources, farming and healthcare. In the European Union, the share of enterprises harnessing the technology currently stands at 7 percent, though that figure does differ significantly between member states.
According to Eurostat, it is most prevalent in Ireland where nearly a quarter of enterprises with at least 10 employees utilise it. The technology is also becoming more prevalent in Malta where it is used by 19 percent of companies with Finland and Denmark also having shares of more than ten percent. The EU member state with the lowest share of companies utilising AI is Latvia with just two percent.
