Many Unhappy with Fellow Citizens Response to COVID-19

Many citizens in the United States, United Kingdom and Germany are dissatisfied with the response of their fellow citizens toward the COVID-19 outbreak.

In a new series of surveys from Statista on the COVID-19 outbreak, three out of four countries surveyed gave a majority response that they were dissatisfied with how their fellow citizens were handling the virus. 36 percent of respondents in Germany, 45 percent of respondents in the U.K. and 36 percent of respondents in the U.S. said they were dissatisfied. Respondents from China, the fourth country surveyed, were mostly satisfied, with only four percent saying they were dissatisfied.

Social distancing and isolation measures set by each government have seen mixed acceptance in different countries, with many in the U.S. still going outside and to crowded gatherings despite quarantine warnings. Some have taken to social media to shame these individuals, and this could be further evidence as to how many in Germany, the U.K. and the U.S. still don’t believe their fellow citizens are doing enough.
