Another 8.3 percent of respondents said that they had increased the number of employees during the same week.

The Small Business Pulse Survey is a voluntary survey that requests information of single-location employer businesses with between 1-499 employees and receipts of $1,000 or more in the 50 states, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
