Putin's Annual Press Conferences Are Long Events

Vladimir Putin's annual press conferences are long, drawn-out affairs and today's iteration was no different. The Russian president spoke for 4 hours and 18 minutes, the second-longest conference documented, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. The one with the longest duration occurred back in 2012 when Putin spoke and handled questions for 4 hours and 33 minutes.

During today's event, he responded to questions about the impeachment of U.S. President Donald Trump, describing it as "a continuation of domestic political infighting". He also said that Trump's impeachment is based on "made-up reasons", expressing his doubts that the U.S. president will be removed from power.
