Majority worried about U.S. trade deal's impact on the NHS
The NHS and its potential role in a post-Brexit trade deal between the a Tory government and the United States has been coming under increased scrutiny recently, culminating in Labour's release of a previously redacted dossier which allegedly provides proof that commercial access to the UK's health service was being offered up as a bargaining chip in initial talks with Washington. Prime minister Johnson has described the claims as "nonsense", saying that the NHS would not be used as part of trade talks. The NHS being "up for sale" is a sensitive topic for people in the UK, and as a recent survey by Statista reveals, the majority of people in the country were already worried about the issue when polled in August and September this year.
