Election debate declared a draw

Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn went head-to-head last night in ITV's election debate. A lot of ground was covered, from Brexit to the NHS to climate change. Points were scored by both sides, but the much-desired 'knockout blow' failed to materialise for both of the leaders. This is also reflected in the snap reaction poll conducted by YouGov after the debate. The prime minister did edge it slightly with 51 percent saying they felt he performed the best, but the 49 percent saying the same for the Labour leader mean this particular bout will have to go down as a draw.
