The football clubs with the most banning orders

The latest Home Office figures for football-related arrests have also revealed the clubs with the most fans with a banning order in the 2018/19 season. At the top of the list is Newcastle United, for which 71 fans were banned from attending matches and potentially other specific areas, such as pubs, close to, and around the time of, a match at home or away. Overall though, the Home Office also notes that there has been a steady decline in football banning orders in recent years. As of 1 August 2019 there were 1,771 in force - compared to 3,174 on 29 November 2011.
