UK brands with the best and worst customer service
When it comes to customer service in the UK, Ryanair is at the bottom of the heap. According to a new Which? survey of around four thousand consumers, the Irish (though for the purposes of the survey, they seem to have been pulled into the UK pool of brands) budget airline received the lowest 'customer service score' - 45 percent. The ratings are based on "how valued companies make them feel, how helpful and knowledgeable staff are and how well they handle complaints."
Joining them down at the bottom are Scottish Power (46 percent) and BT (52 percent). At the other end of the scale, customers were most complimentary about online bank First Direct, which received a score of 89 percent. Close behind is Lakeland (87 percent) and the clothing/homewares section of M&S (86 percent).
