European Heatwave
All-Time Temperature Records Across Europe

Belgian, Dutch and German records were broken yesterday for the second time in two days. The United Kingdom was also bracing itself for the possibility of temperatures higher than the record 38.5°C recorded in Faversham, Kent, in 2003 and they came close - 38.1°C. That made yesterday the second-hottest day on record.
