Electrical Appliances
Who Makes The Most Reliable Electrical Appliances?
It can prove enormously frustrating when you purchase an expensive electrical appliance, only to see it conk out and die after three years of use. Living in the EU can help with this up to a certain point with residents assured of a guarantee on a defunct appliance within two years of purchase. It also helps knowing which companies produce the most reliable appliances. While there are many ways of assessing that such as personal experience, marketing and recommendations, website Consumer Reports carried out their own analysis with data.
It ranked appliance-manufacturers on a reliability scale between 0 to 100 with 100 being the most reliable. Wisconsin-based laundry machine manufacturer Speed Queen recorded the highest reliability score - 83. German company Miele came second with 75 while appliances produced by Swedish flatpack furniture giant Ikea came in third with 70. It must be pointed out that the reliability ratings for appliances from each brand are an average of the ratings for all types of that brand's appliances.
