Vaping: intriguing but definitely not cool

By now, most of us have seen the ridiculously large clouds escaping out through car windows or enveloping innocent bystanders on the street. For those of us who were pleased to see the gradual decrease in tobacco smokers in a lot of places, a new annoyance has emerged in its place - vaping.

Not only the penchant of hipsters, the use of vaporisers or e-cigarettes has taken off, but as a new survey by Action on Smoking and Health seemingly confirms, the sickly sweet clouds and the devices themselves are definitely not cool. The poll of 11 to 18 year olds in great Britain asked those which had used e-cigarettes what the reasons for trying them were. At the top of the list was simply the desire to give it a try (52 percent). The flavours were in second place (15 percent), but only one percent said they were drawn to them because they look cool.
