Australia Printed 400 Million Banknotes With A Typo

Last October, 400 million brand new Australian $50 notes entered circulation. In addition to having additional anti-counterfeiting measures, they also had a typo. Eagle-eyed Australians spotted the problem - the word "responsibility" was missing an "i". Even though the spelling-error is hard to spot with the naked eye, 46 million of the banknotes remain in circulation with a value of $2.3 billion (US$1.6 billion), according to Reserve Bank of Australia data reported by CNN.
