The All-Time Greats at the Golden Globes
The 2014 Golden Globes took place on Sunday night with “12 Years a Slave” and “American Hustle” taking home the top prizes for best motion pictures. Both are now well positioned for success at the Academy Awards in March. Cate Blanchett won the award for the best actress in a motion picture, drama while Matthew McConaughey took home the prize for best actor in a motion picture, drama.
They still have a long way to go to catch Meryl Streep, who has won the most Golden Globes in history. She has also been nominated a record 28 times. Jack Lemmon comes second, having been nominated 22 times in addition to winning 4 times. Shirley MacLaine rounds off the top three for nominations with 19 in addition to 5 wins.
