Artificial Intelligence
Businesses Are Employing AI for Back Office Boost
Artificial Intelligence is being utilized in the unglamorous but practical world of back-office tasks to streamline business decisions and enhance security. Based on a survey by Technalysis, about 70 percent of respondents who worked in the business of developing, piloting, or running AI applications used the systems to better data and network security in their company. Around two-thirds of respondents reported developing their AI capabilities around business intelligence, an additional efficiency measure to the office decision making process.
Another common theme in AI implementation across businesses was to improve and analyze customer interactions. About 67 percent of respondents used AI for web and social media analytics, while almost an equal number used AI for call center and chatbot assistance.
These findings align with other projections for what types of tasks AI is most likely to impact in the near future. An overview of jobs in the U.S. federal government most likely to be impacted by AI by 2030 include administrative tasks, such as IRS tax examiners, accountants, and auditors.
