How Donald Trump is Squaring Off Against Democratic Contenders

In a one-on-one race for the U.S. presidency in the 2020 election, Joe Biden is the Democrat that would achieve the best result opposite Republican presidential incumbent Donald Trump. According to the latest polling averages by Real Clear Politics, 50.3 percent of voters would give Biden their vote, while 44.3 percent would pick Donald Trump in this match-up. Trump would also lose to candidates Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

In a race between Sanders and Trump, Sanders would be ahead with a slightly smaller margin of 49.9 percent opposite 44.9 percent of votes for Trump. Real Clear Politics collected several opinion polls conducted among registered voters in February and March 2020.
