For anyone looking to buy an electric car, the question of range always arises. Depending on the model, the cars can cover vastly different distances before they have to return to the charging station. According to a recent comparison covered by website Utopia, Tesla occupies the top three places in terms of range. The Tesla Model S will get you the furthest - travelling up to 600 kilometers on a single battery charge. Fourth place goes to the Opel Ampera, with a range of 520 kilometres. The distances are manufacturer specifications that were measured under laboratory conditions and can of course deviate from real world use.
