New Survey
The UK's favourite supermarkets
A new survey by Which? has revealed the UK's favourite supermarkets. Ranked using a combination of overall satisfaction and the likelihood customers would recommend the supermarket to someone else. At the top of the list is German discounter Aldi with an overall rating of 73 percent. In contrast, premium supermarket Marks & Spencer is in second place with a score of 71 percent. At the other end of the scale, Asda and Co-op came out of the survey the worst off, with ratings of 62 and 59 percent, respectively.
According to Which? "While Aldi received mediocre ratings across all other categories, including two stars for store layout and three stars for the quality of its own-label products and fresh food, price was the most important consideration for customers when choosing where to shop." In this regard, Aldi was the only chain to score the full five stars for 'value for money'.
