Immigration Most Lied About Topic for President Trump

President Trump made the most false or misleading claims about immigration in his two years as president, totaling 1,433 false or misleading claims. The hot-button issue is a political topic the president uses to rile up support from his base. The topic is also one of the driving forces behind the partial government shutdown that is now extending into its fifth week. President Trump will not sign a spending bill without $5.7 billion secured for a wall at the southern border.

According to the Washington Post’s fact checker, foreign policy came in second with President Trump making 900 false or misleading claims during his two years, followed by trade with 854 false or misleading claims, and the economy with 790 untrue statements during his presidency.
