Canada to Welcome Over 1 Million Immigrants over 3 Years

In stark contrast to its neighbour, Canada has announced immigration targets for the next three years amounting to over one million new permanent residents by the end of 2021. As our chart shows, upper estimates indicate that 184,500 of these new faces will be refugees, protected persons or other humanitarian-based applications. In the new report, it is stated: "Under this plan, Canada will welcome more talented workers with the skills and expertise our economy needs, reunite more family members and accommodate more refugees looking to start new lives."
