In-work poverty is outpacing employment in the UK

With the UK facing uncertainty over Brexit, half a million children are living in poverty with increasing numbers of working families struggling to support themselves over the past five years. The Joseph Rowntree Foundation has said that in-work poverty has been rising faster than employment with most of the increase among working parents. Across the UK, four million workers are now living in poverty.
