Instagram users
Usage of Instagram Varies In Europe
Instagram is among Europe's fastest growing social networks in 2018, despite reports of tensions between its founders and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and an announcement that the photo-sharing app will be removing fake followers, likes and other inauthentic activities on its network. Russia, Turkey and the United Kingdom were all ranked among the top worldwide countries with the most Instagram users.
According to numbers from NapoleonCat.com, Instagram use varies per country. In Turkey, roughly 45 percent of the population use Instagram, whilst 36 percent use the social media platform in the Netherlands. Instagram was the most popular, however, in Sweden, where nearly five out of ten citizens use it.
Instagram's owner, Facebook, also has many users in the EU-28, Norway, Switzerland, Russia and Turkey. Whilst nearly 37 percent of the Danish population used Instagram, nearly 66 percent of Denmark used Facebook. For the same infographic on Facebook, click here.
