Halloween

Trick-or-Treaters Likely to Get Snubbed in the UK

It’s spooky how many people in the United Kingdom are willing to play with fate and not give trick-or-treaters a treat. Halloween often leads to several elaborate and far-reaching tricks.

When respondents to a recent You Gov poll were asked how they would act towards trick-or-treaters, roughly an equal number of people were likely to give sweets as they were to give trick-or-treaters the cold shoulder. About 45 percent of respondents said they would give trick-or-treaters some sweets, while around 43 percent of respondents said they would not answer the door or, even worse, pretend not to be home. Hopefully, no ghosts or ghouls cause trouble for those not interested in participating in the festivities.
