What the UK's graduates do for a living

54 percent of the UK's graduates aged 22 to 29 were working in a graduate job in 2017. A graduate job is defined as a role where the tasks typically require knowledge and skills gained through higher education. According to the Office of National Statistics, there is a big pay gap between mainly-graduate and mainly non-graduate jobs with young people in "professional" roles earning nearly two-thirds more than their peers in "elementary" roles.
