Tech drives Australia's top emerging jobs

LinkedIn have revealed the top emerging jobs in Australia, and technology has emerged as a common factor behind the growth of each role. The position to experience the highest rate of growth from 2013 to 2017 was that of Customer Success Manager, which according to LinkedIn is fueled by the global rise of Software as a Service (SaaS). As revenue from SaaS products is reliant on annual subscription renewals, the demand for Customer Success Managers to work with customers over the life of a contract and ensure their experience is a positive one has increased significantly since 2013.

The demand intensity for each position varied across capital cities. Experience designers responsible for making a product easier to use and more accessible, can expect demand intensity of close to 70 percent in Melbourne, compared with around 46 percent in Sydney. Demand intensity for Cyber Security Specialists was also 10 percent higher in Brisbane than it was in any other capital city.
