Football: The Biggest Transfers of the Summer Window

As with every summer in the world of European football, 2018 saw a large amount of money thrown around by clubs looking to bolster their squads for the coming season. According to figures from Transfermarkt, no one had a bigger single outlay than Juventus when they managed to lure superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin. The 'Old Lady' spent a reported €117 million on 'CR7', a whole €37 million more than the second largest transfer - Chelsea's acquisition of Spanish goalkeeper Kepa from Athletic Bilbao. Brazilian's proved popular during this window, with four of the top ten coming from the South American country.
