Sharp Rise in U.S. Firearm Homicide Rate
The latest FBI data shows that in 2016 there was a large jump in the homicide by firearm rate in the United States. Having gradually sunk down from 3.42 per 100,000 population in 2006 to 2.61 in 2014, the rate shot up to 3.80 in the latest recorded period.
