5% of Europe's are Involuntary Part-Timers

For many in Europe, part-time jobs are the only way to manage their private lives while plying their trade. But at the same time, a share of part-timers are caught up in their contracts even though they wish to work full-time. As this chart shows, one quarter of all Britons work in part-time jobs and while around one fifth of them wish to switch into a full-time position, the rest see themselves staying put. The Netherlands tops the European comparison of part-time employment rates: almost the half of all Dutch people do not work full shifts.
