Real Advertising Mail Still Going Strong

The whole world is going digital, especially in all aspects media and advertising? Well, not quite! Advertising via the postal system is still going strong. In the United States alone, some 8 million metric tons of advertising mail are still sent via the post.

According to figures by the Universal Postal Union UPU and digital mail provider Caya, this comes down to some 64 kilos (141 pounds) of advertising mail per household a year. While the U.S. has the highest overall yield in terms of weight, the Swiss have a higher share per household, counting a grand total of 80 kilos (176 pounds) per year.
