Royal Wedding: U.S. Aware But Doesn't Care

On May 19, Prince Harry will marry Meghan Markle, a U.S. citizen, at Windsor Castle. Meghan will become the first person from the country to join the British royal family but, while the majority of people in the U.S. are certainly aware of their engagement (81 percent), a YouGov/Statista survey has revealed that the event has failed to capture the imagination of most Americans. When asked if they were interested in the upcoming wedding, only 31 percent said yes, while 64 percent professed to not really caring about it all.
