The ages of Irish citizens who travel to the UK for abortions

As part of major Irish news website TheJournal.ie's coverage of the upcoming abortion referendum in Ireland, Statista helped create several infographics concerning the number of Irish women travelling to the UK for terminations. Ireland accounts for 67.9 percent of non-resident terminations in the UK with an average of 9 women and girls traveling for an aborton every day. The following infographic uses data from the UK Department of Health and it shows that most of the Irish women and girls travelling to the UK are aged between 20 and 29.
