Hotel Prices

The Cities Where Hotels Cost The Most

If you've visited some of the world's major cities and stayed in a hotel, you'll know that rooms can cost a small fortune. This is especially true in New York which has the highest average price of a hotel room per night of any city worldwide. According to HRS, a hotel room in The Big Apple averages a whopping $306.

That is significantly more than some other cities that have bad reputations among travelers for being exorbitantly expensive such as Zürich, Oslo and Copenhagen. In Oslo for example where a pint of beer in a pub can cost nearly $20, a hotel room is over $100 less on average than New York.
