How Holiday Season Digital Spending Has Developed
Overall online commerce gathers momentum each holiday season. According to data provided by comScore, there has been an overall increase of 17 percent year-over-year 2015 to 2016, from $68 billion to $80.2 billion that were spent online between November 1 and December 31. Mobile commerce has gained more than desktop commerce, up 44 and 12 percent respectively. Mobile spending now accounts for 22 percent of dollars spent online.
