Most Brits Would Snub A White House Invitation

Last week, it was reported that U.S. President Donald Trump will make a "working visit" to the United Kingdom in early 2018 rather than a full state visit. The subject of Trump's proposed state visit has proven hugely controversial in the UK and earlier this year, YouGov found that 36 percent of the British public were against it.

If the situation was reversed and an average Brit was invited by Trump to the White House, YouGov found that a 56 majority would refuse the invitation. In fact, people would be keener to accept an invitation from Vladimir Putin to visit the Kremlin. The British public are most likely to accept an invitation to join the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
