Chinese Big in Rolling Stock

Germany's Siemens and the French rail vehicle producer Alstom want to join forces. Also, because the Chinese conglomerate CRRC is aiming at Western markets with its railway component.

Siemens Mobility and Alstom are both builders of bullet trains. Siemens builds the Inter City Express (ICE) for the German market and Alstom builds the French Train à Grand Vitesse (TGV).

If these two manufacturers combined their market might they could almost reach up to the Chinese competitor in terms of revenue. Another big player in this industry segment is Canada's Bombardier.
