U.S. is the Biggest Single Donor to the UN Refugee Agency

U.S. President Donald Trump has for the first time held a speech before the General Assembly at the United Nations headquarters in New York on Monday. Sitting between General Secretary António Guterres and Trump's ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, the President cautioned the intergovernmental organization founded in 1945 has "not reached its full potential" because of its bloated bureaucracy and "mismanagement".

The United States contributes a big chunk to core UN agencies, such as the refugee relief agency UNHCR. Then again, when you break down the data to per capita payments from individual countries a whole different picture emrges.
