Is Europe On The Rebound?

Despite Brexit woes, rising populist movements and other political dynamics in the European Union, there is reason to be cheerful about the block’s economy. As data by Eurostat and the European Commission reveal, nowadays 10 million more people are working in the EU28 area compared to the first quarter of 2013.

GDP growth rates indicate another upward trend, having increased 2.2 percent for EU28 and 2.1 percent in the Eurozone compared to last year, hence marking the fastest growth since 2011. Likewise pleasing are unemployment rates, having decreased to 7.7 percent which is the lowest rate in the Member States since 2008.
