Digital Retail vs High Street

Where Amazon Impacts Most on People Shopping at Stores

Amazon is the biggest online retailer in the world and has accumulated a market force able to disrupt structures worldwide. As such, it has an impact on how people shop around the world. Namely, people less often visit retail stores on high street to buy products.

On average, 28 percent of shoppers worldwide say that Amazon has influenced their shopping behavior. According to a poll by PwC, this applies to 39 percent of shoppers in Japan, followed by 37 percent of shoppers in the United States.
