How Amazon Changed Our Shopping Patterns

Amazon has certainly changed the way we shop while setting many new trends in retail that make shopping easier and more comfortable. As a study by PwC found, more than half of consumers surveyed worldwide are Amazon costumers. For countries like Japan, Italy, U.K., U.S., and Germany, shares are even above 90 percent.

As our infographic shows, due to the presence of Amazon, 28 percent of shoppers started to shop less often in-store and even 10 percent shop only on Amazon. However, many customers still prefer to see and try things before purchasing and hence retailers can leverage in-store experience by playing to their strengths.
