Labour support strongest in lowest turnout group
2017 UK General Election
According to a poll from Ipsos MORI, Jeremy Corbyn's Labour party have a huge support base among voters aged under 40. It found that 49 percent of people in the 18-34 age bracket would vote for Labour compared to just 27 percent for the Conservatives. Unfortunately for Labour, however, that potential army of voters will probably count for very little in today's election due a significantly lower turnout among the UK's younger citizens.
