UK arms exports to Saudi Arabia fuel Yemen conflict

Last week marked two years since war erupted in Yemen. Since then, a Saudi-led coalition has been battling Houthi rebels in the country. According to the latest figures, just under 5,000 people have been killed during the war while another 8,000 have been injured. The Saudis have been using ample amounts of British military equipment over the course of the campaign including Typhoon fighter jets, Brimstone missiles and Paveway guided bombs. The infographic below used data from CAAT and shows that the UK's arms exports to Saudi Arabia since the start of the war in Yemen have been worth about £3.3 billion. Read more in the Independent.
